PROTEC Legacy Club

Jun 06 2016

By the time they reach Matric, PROTEC learners have proven themselves by working hard and achieving results that far exceed those of their peers. It is for this reason, that about 20% of our learners manage to secure bursaries every year, and many others qualify for financial aid.

But then there are also learners who have not managed to secure a bursary or financial aid, who are equally deserving of an opportunity to study further. The PROTEC Branch and Project Managers see these kids year after year who are often forced to give up on their dreams of getting a tertiary education and advancing themselves, due to financial circumstances.

The PROTEC Legacy Club is a special fund that we have now launched to address this need. This discretionary fund will be allocated to qualifying & deserving PROTEC learners as objectively and as fairly as possible by a committee that will be established for this purpose. We will of course provide full accountability to each and every member of the Legacy Club for the allocation of funds each year towards tertiary educational institutions.

How it works:

  • Purchase 1 or more Legacy Club tickets at R1200 for the year (period 1 June 2016 – 31 May 2017). Alternatively you can set up a debit order for R100 per month for a period of a year.

  • Because we at PROTEC have an ethos of ‘giving back’, we would like to reward one lucky Legacy Club member with a cash prize of R20 000 at the end of the period (31 May 2017). This will be a lucky draw prize. The more ‘tickets’ you have at R1200 each, or the higher your debit order, the more entries you will have into the draw for the cash prize!

  • All Legacy Club members will be updated regarding the allocation of funds so that you can see how you have helped to make a difference.

  • The Legacy Club is open to all individuals or corporate companies – tax certificates or proof of BEE compliancy available on request.

Our students have already proven themselves through their hard work, talent and the right attitude and values that our society and economy so desperately needs! Let’s help launch them into their careers...
